Tasveer 8X10 Review

Tasveer 8x10 a supernatural thriller movie directed by Nagesh Kukonoor stars Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Takia, Javed Jaffrey, Sharmila Tagore, Girish Karnad etc. This movie starts off very well with an interesting plot where the main protogonist of movie Jai(Akshay Kumar) with a power to see the past of a person through a 8X10 Photo. Even the middle portion of movie is equally engaging as well with a wired ending.

Jai's dad was killed by some accident and Akshay kumar who has power to see the past through 8X10 Photograph thries to solve the mystry behind his father's death. There were 3 protogonists he doubts to have killed his father, and tries to see there past with the photograph which was taken at the time of murder. There were some reviews which told that the director went through the same sequence 4 times when he tries to see the post and one feels that the movie doesnt move further and that the movie is very paced. But the truth is when he goes through the past for 4 times there was only a single shot which repeats and everytime they show different visual and each time they go through, you get a new twist in the tale. 

In the last hour the movie goes through various twists leaves viewer guessing the culprit. But ending keeps you thinking.. And has a ending which is not seen much in Bollywood. The critcs have rated the movie below par though sighting the reason that the story is not upto the mark. And if there was a normal ending like many movies have, they say its a bollywood style movie. I would say the end is wierd, may be childish(But thats fine as the hatred for the culprit started in childhood. It makes sense.)

Performance-wise, Akshay has done a very good job and answers for those who believe that he can only do comedy. Ayesha  is excellent and Javed Jaffrey is passable. 

I also feel there is probably lot of negative wave in industry for akshay kumar. 

Audience has mixed reactions and this is mainly because of bad reviews from critics.

I hope the movie does well inspite of this. Since there wont be any multiplex release for another 1 month cos of strike, there would be few takers for the movie.

Chandni Chowk to China: Will it bring people from there home to cinema?

 Well anyone who have even slightest of knowledge about bollywood would have heard about this movie Chandni Chowk to China.

CC2C is the movie which stars Bollywood's 'the entertainer' Khiladi Akshay Kumar, Along with Bangalore beauty Deepika Padukone. Not only that, it also stars some international figures. Ya thats true it has Gordon Liu of kill Bill 1, 2 and chambers of shaolin fame, as well as Roger Yuan who is again a chinese actor seen in some international movies in pivotal roles. Not only that, it also stars yesteryear disco dancer MithunDa who would play Akshay's father in the movie. The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani of Kal ho na ho and salaam-e-ishq fame, and Produced by Rohan Sippy, along with Warner Bro's will be plus point.

After 26/11, industry was very low, which was uplifted by the release of Rab ne bana di jodi and Ghajini. Now that the country is in the wave of Ghajini, which has done extraordinary business everywhere, what would be the faCe of CC2c which is gonna release exactly a fortnight after Ghajini?

Well, if we see, CC2C had got a good promotion and there was a huge curiosity among the public about the movie, but did the Ghajini wave eroded these buzz, or does it still exists? But Also, most of the public have already shelled out a lot, off there pocket to watch Ghajini, and Rab Ne bana di jodi, So it remains to be seen as to will the Industry be lucky third time. 

But as far as recent Akshay's movies are concerned, all have got good openings(Even the worst reviewed movies like Tashan got a super opening considering the movie was not released in any multiplexes in first week, and if it were to be out in multiplexes as well, Tashan would have been a better movie collection wise, Wrong move by YRF), So one can expect a huge opening for CC2C, and with Warner Bro's in placewhich is getting the movie, largest release ever in Bollywood in India as well as overseas, Openings would be huge and so does the initial collections. But the bad part is the movies costs, CC2C has been sold to heavy prices, so It has to to do extremely well to get HIT status.

As far the content of the movie, it seems to be impressive, with the movie having lots of comedy and action which are two Strong forts of Akshay. Also Akshay is gonna Rap in the movie with Bohemia.

So All the best Akki, We hope this is gonna rock.

Singh is Kinng! - Will it be king at box-office

Singh is Kinng the new movie which stars bollywood favorite couple akki-kat, is directed by Anees Bazmee of welcome, no entry fame. Its one of the much hyped movie of the year with lots of expectations. So what one can expect from movie? Will it be the winner? Or will it prove as another poor tashan in boxoffice?

Well, the promos are so exciting that it promises to be a very good watch for the movie goer. The movie seem to be a full on masala movie with all elements. It has comedy, romance, action. A perfect blend. And over than an awesome starcast of Akshay, Katrina, Sonu sood, Om puri, Neha dupia. Over that its been directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Vipul Shah. Akshay has also co-produced it. Its the first movie under Akshay's production banner Haro Om Productions.

What to watch out for in the movie?

1. Awesome chemistry between Akshay-Katrina.
2. Akshay in Sikh Avtar. with pagdi and turban.
3. some Death defying stunts.
4. Snoop Dogg's Rap with Akshay and RDB.
5. Akshay's comedy.

With all this bests the movie ought to be a sure shot winner and adding to this is the massive promotion of the movie by the producers. They have not left single stone unturned to promote the movie.

We also hear that particular color of pagdi, which Akshay wore in a promotional song is already a craze in punjab that its sale hits a new high.

Over that Singh is Kinng is getting a worldwide biggest release of the times.

It seems Singh is Kinng is gonna take the biggest opening ever in the bollywood.

Tashan Buzz!!!

This movie has got lots of hype from the day it started its filming may be its for akshay starring in YRF after long time,or even kareena for that matter, Akki-saif together after long time. Or for the star jodi(love birds;)) Saif-Kareena.

This kinda hype made sure that movie stay in mind of people for long. But the production house yrf never went on to promote the movie aggressively. With such a huge star cast ans such a hype around, they should have promoted it well.

But YRF was in someother stratergy. After a initial theatrical promo which came on in nov, YRF started promotion with just a month to movie release. Even after there was no aggressive promotion.

But the question is are YRF right in there decision?

Since the Tashan had huge hype, and with such a star cast around, it will have big opening for sure. But now there is a new compitition for this movie. IPL.

Is IPL gonna hit the business of Tashan?

IPL has got lots of hype and it has wide popularity among all. So it will affect the movie business.
But not even that much since the match starts only after 8.00PM in weekdays and 5.00PM in weekends. So one show would be affected in weekdays and 2 shows in weekends.

All in all, Hope the best for Tashan. All the best.

Super Star

I would like to review the movie that i happen to see few days back. Its called Super Star.
I started watching the movie with less expectations, as i actually had the mindset that this movie is not good.

When i started the movie. The fast 10 min of the movie was really catchy. The way the Hero(Super Star) introduces his life is really something catchy which makes you feel like seeming more of it.

Well now for storyline, we have a middle class guy Kunal, whose dream is to become a bollywood hero, who grown looking bollywood movies, or its more like the guy has bollywood flowing in his blood.:) and his only dream is to become sperstar and he is working hard to fulfil his dreams and he is working as junior artist in movies. So the story till nows goes hand in and with om shanthi om.
Well, so wats the twist in the movie? now the filmy twist of the movie is that, there is double role, the other humshakal of our poor guy is the son of a producer who is about to be launched in a movie, and the poster of this big buget movie has come up in papers and media.

The sequence of the poor guy's friends celebrating this is well shot and the surprise and happiness in the poor guy has come well.

Then there comes various twists in the movie where the junior artist get to act, the death of super star and later how the junior artist completes the movie is good. It also has some emotional quotient at times, and kunal have handled it nicely.

And at the end, the junior artist gets the super star fame all is good that ends good:)

Performance wise kunal khemu has come out well, the 2 female leads looks good in there roles. All in all a watchable movie.
